Jeffry Edwards joined the firm in 2015, bringing with him 30 years of experience in all aspects of real estate transactional law. Beginning his career as an associate at Schwartz and Freeman in Chicago, Jeff was then brought in as an in-house attorney for Sam Zell’s Equity Group in Chicago. During his tenure at the Equity Group, Jeff developed an expertise in complex real estate transactions, including the purchase and sale of shopping centers, apartment complexes and industrial properties, as well as the purchase and sale of various industrial operating companies. While at the Equity Group, Jeff also had extensive experience in leasing and financing transactions.

In 1990, Jeff relocated to Arizona, where he continued to develop his real estate law practice, including a broad range of experience in purchase and sale transactions, leasing transactions, and financing negotiations involving a wide variety of properties, including raw land, industrial properties, apartment complexes, and shopping centers. Since returning to Illinois, Jeff has represented several of the firm’s major clients.

Jeff resides in Highland Park, Illinois. He received his BA degree with honors from the University of Michigan in 1982, and received joint JD and MBA degrees from Cornell Law School and Cornell Business School in 1986. Jeff is a member of the Illinois State Bar and the Arizona State Bar.
