Bruce is a member of the firm with extensive experience representing local, regional and national developers of industrial, office, residential, and mixed-use properties. He specializes in acquisitions and dispositions of improved and unimproved properties, construction and permanent financing, and the preparation and negotiation of reciprocal easement agreements for multi-use developments. Bruce has drafted reciprocal easement agreements for some of Chicago’s largest and most complex mixed-use developments.
Bruce began his legal career in the real estate department at Mayer Brown LLP (then Mayer, Brown & Platt), where he practiced for six years. He also was in-house counsel at Amli Realty Co., a commercial real estate development company. In 1996, Keith Wenk and Bruce formed Mason & Wenk, the predecessor of Mason, Wenk & Berman.
Bruce received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) in 1983 with University Honors and received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 1986.
Bruce lives in Highland Park, Illinois with his wife.
